ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
• Under the supervision of faculty or clinical preceptor, the student can perform functions for which he/she has the educational foundation to perform safely.
• “Student” means an individual who is enrolled in a contracted formal educational program.
• A clinical preceptor is not employed by the educational program as a faculty member and facilitates student learning in a manner prescribed by a signed written agreement between the educational institution, preceptor, and affiliating agency (as
applicable).
• Faculty member--an individual employed to teach in an educational program
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and enrolled in a contracted formal educational program
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
The individual must be able to:
• Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff.
• The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
