Job Description

Capture

Primarily responsible for the delivery of non-clinical care to all adult and or pediatric patients.  Responsible for delivery of clinical care as delegated by licensed nurses and within the scope of practice.  Responsible for promoting positive interactions with staff, physicians, patients, families, and other visitors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

· Follows expected workflows and processes set up for the delivery of non-clinical and clinical care.

· Demonstrates positive effective communication, including education with patients and families, physicians and other healthcare team members, and professional communication skills.

· Provide a safe environment for patients, families and co-workers, including hand washing, and adherence to infection control policies.

· Demonstrate professionalism including current (automated external defibrillators) AED’s and other competencies, following dress code policies, participation in orientation of new team members.  

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Must be at least 16 years of age.

· Must be enrolled in high school or equivalent education program.

· Must be enrolled in a healthcare related program (i.e.: medical explorers, CNA certification program).

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The individual must be able to:

· Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted- lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
