The primary responsibility of the dish room attendant is to maintain the cleanliness of all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils. This position adheres to all HACCP and other regulatory agency policies.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
5:00 AM - 1:30 PM and/or 12:00 PM- 8:30 PM and weekends as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of clean, grease free pots, pans, and other duties as assigned.
- Ensures correct temperatures of water for washing and sanitizing pots/ pans / dishes according to HACCP and regulatory agency standards.
- Communicate potential problems with production supervisor when necessary
- Follows safe work practices and keeps work area clean, sanitized and free of debris.
- Responsible for prompt set-up of catered events as requested on the special event sheets.
- Demonstrates ability to ensure all services are provided in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Requires the ability to effectively communicate information and respond in English to questions from all Hospital’s publics.

- Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
