Under minimal supervision, the Radiology Equipment Specialist I will support the maintenance of imaging technologies to ensure safe, effective, and reliable operations. The Radiology Equipment Specialist I will receive hands-on training in performing preventive maintenance, documenting service events, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

 

Shift & Schedule 

Fulltime, Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

· Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues while learning from

experienced professionals.

· Assist in the repair, calibration, and inspection of diagnostic imaging systems to ensure

optimal functionality and safety.

· Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing on diagnostic imaging

technologies under the guidance of experienced technicians.

· Review the outcomes of preventive maintenance actions and assist in making

recommendations for updates to maintenance schedules, procedures, or documentation.

· Maintain accurate records of service events, repairs, inspections, and equipment failures

in the computerized maintenance management software system.

· Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers to provide updates on the

status of inspections, repairs, and maintenance.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Associate’s degree in electronics, biomedical equipment technology, or a related field is desirable.

· Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in biomedical equipment technology is required.

· Completion of at least 1 (one) imaging system maintenance course, or 1 (one) year of related experience in the repair and maintenance of diagnostic imaging systems is required.

· Networking preferred

Ø Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
