
Performs the essential duties, responsibilities and the primary functions of a Manager of Talent Acquisition for Midland Health. Responsible for developing recruitment strategy and leading day-to-day talent acquisition activities including attracting, selecting, hiring and onboarding high performing talent. Responsible for vendor management, developing best practices around I-9 management, employment verification and licensing and certification. Develop diversity and veteran recruiting programs. Communicates effectively with Midland Health employees and persons outside the organization and works to identify, assess and resolve problems/conflicts. Develops and maintains reporting and monitoring metrics for recruiting and retention functions. Maintains current knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, fair employment practice laws and regulations.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
Full Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Develops and maintains a recruitment strategy that will position Midland Health as an Employer of Choice to include special hiring events (Find A Job Friday), career fairs, college recruiting, managing Indeed job postings
- Attracts, selects, hires and onboards high performance talent
- Provides day-to-day oversight to talent acquisition function. Ensures team members are trained on processes and sustain those processes.
- Responsible for onboarding and orientation of new employees.
- Identifies key recruitment and retention metrics to monitor and assess effectiveness
- Develops diversity and veteran recruiting programs.
- Vendor management
- Manage relocation vendor and processes
- Manage I-9 processes, employment verification and license verification tools and
- Develops and implements policies and processes
- Manages applicant tracking and position control technology and processes
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7 or more years Human Resources Staffing experience
- 5 or more years managing Staffing function
- Prior management experience is a plus
- Hospital experience strongly preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels
- Strong knowledge of compensation philosophies and ability to formulate job offers/packages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
- Manage multiple conflicting priorities.
- Take initiative to identify and anticipate needs and make recommendations for implementation.
- Develops and utilizes best practices.
- Utilizes core business and HR-specific technologies to solve business challenges.
- Strong Excel, Word and Power Point skills.
