The Project Superintendent for Construction is to organize, coordinate, and assist in the completion of field and office activities for construction projects from start to finish. Supervisory experience of subcontractors and in-house construction staff. An advanced understanding of entire construction process. Ability to interact and communicate with project requestors to meet their request and needs. Assist the Project Manager Construction with project budgeting, schedule and resource planning.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

  • Able to read drawings and specifications without issue.
  • Supervise work force of 20+ workers on multiple jobsites and locations.
  • Schedule, supervise and manage subcontractors for multiple projects.
  • Schedule, supervise and manage in-house foreman and construction staff for multiple projects.
  • Inspect projects regarding work progress, quality, safety and compliance to policies and procedures and update project manager via daily reports or other required forms of documentation.
  • Estimate materials, manpower and equipment needed to complete projects.
  • Manage and track inventory of stored materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with OSHA, Infection Control, Life Safety and any other MMH Policies and Procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge in all the construction trades so that any deficient work and be identified and corrected to MMH standards.
  • · Available to be reached by phone during non-working hours for any jobsite
  • coordination needs.
  • Conduct weekly safety toolbox talks and address any safety concerns brought up.
  • Ability to communicate with project requestor in a professional manner.
  • Report any policy and procedure infractions to the Project Manager of Construction to address.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma
  • A minimum of ten (10) years construction experience.
  • Experience in handling multiple projects concurrently.

Ø Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
