Performs the essential duties and responsibilities and the primary functions of a Sleep Therapist in a diagnostic role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of assigned patients. Responsible for meeting the established standards for the administration of diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnographic care as well as appropriate documentation of activities related to that care. Manages supplies and equipment. Responsible for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. This position will not be allowed to stage or score polysomnograms, perform Maintenance of Wakefulness Testing (MWT), or Multiple Sleep Latency Testing (MSLT) as those are expectations of a registered technician.
