    Repairs and maintains patient care equipment, analytical instruments, computer based medical equipment systems and related technologies to ensure its safety and operational performance characteristics. Performs scheduled preventive maintenance according to hospital policies, procedures and industry recognized standards. The Physician Contract Administrator will report to the Vice President Community Health. This role will be responsible for the administrative tasks of processing all agreements for approval and follow through on legal documents and incentive calculations. This position will work with the Director of Operations Primary Care, Director of Operations Specialty Care, Director of Operations Inpatient Provider Services, Manager of Physician Recruitment & Relations, and legal counsel to facilitate tasks.   The Discharge Planner assists the licensed Social Worker, RN Case Manager, Physician, and/or any other member of the healthcare team in coordinating, negotiating, procuring, and facilitating the patient’s discharge plan for the achievement of quality and cost-effective outcomes. Required to complete four (4) hours of hospital provided continuing education hours upon hire and annually for Total Joint and Spine. Education will focus on management/care of total hip, knee and shoulder replacement as well as elective spine surgery patients. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. This includes the initial and ongoing, extensive collection, analysis and interpretation of data. - Synthesize the data collected during the comprehensive assessment to identify problems, make nursing diagnoses, and to formulate goals, teaching plans and outcomes. - Implement the plan of care. The RN may begin, deliver, assign or delegate certain interventions within the plan of care for patients within legal, ethical, and regulatory parameters and in consideration of health restoration, disease prevention, wellness, and promotion of healthy lifestyles. - Evaluate and report patient outcomes and responses to therapeutic interventions in comparison to benchmarks from evidence-based practice and research findings, and plans any follow-up care and referrals to appropriate resources that may be needed. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities - Associate's degree (ADN) or diploma in nursing is required. - Current BLS required (Issued by American Heart Association) - One year experience in area of position applying for required. - Current State of Texas License as a Registered Nurse required. - Certification in area of specialty (e.g., OB, MNN, C-EFM) - Current BLS upon hire; NRP required within 6 months of date of employment; ACLS required within 12 months of date of employment.
